Dr. Carmen Vila
Having spent a lifetime studying, painting, and teaching art and art history, VILA's work has earned the praise of her peers and won awards in the United States and abroad.

She is consistently noted in Marquis Who's Who in American Education and in Marquis Who's Who in American Women, "limited to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their own fields of endeavor and contributed significantly in the betterment of contemporary society."
VILA has been involved with the arts for more than half a century. Beyond her Masters and Doctoral degrees from Columbia University, she studied at the University of Mexico and the University of Madrid, the College of Arts and Crafts in California, The Art Students League in NYC, Fairfield University in Connecticut and painted with Raul Anguiano, the last of the Mexican muralists.
